The trip is designed to have an authentic taste of the exotic country and its rich culture. It will encompass a wide variety of landscape, nature, cities with modern architecture, remote villages with vibrant traditions, archaeological sites, cultural activities, local markets, ancient monasteries with exquisite frescos, enticing local cuisine, and wine tasting at the vineyards. Many of these are UNESCO sites. The breathtaking scenery along the way makes for a great photography trip.

Day 2 June 26 Sunday Ancient city Kutaisi, Gelati Monastery (UNESCO), spectacular Motsameta Monastery, small town Akhaltsikhe Day 3 June 27 Monday Multicultural ancient citadel Rabati, 10th century Khertvisi Fortress, Vardzia cave dwellings Day 4 June 28 Tuesday Charming alleys of Tbilisi historic center, National Janashia Museum, optional sulfur bath or traditional hammam Day 5 June 29 Wednesday Spiritual center of Georgia Mtskheta, 6th century Monastery of Jvari (UNESCO), Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (UNESCO), Fortified citadel of Ananuri with typical Georgian architecture, commending view of the snow-capped peak of Mount Kazbegi (5,047 m) Day 6 June 30 Thursday 3000-year-old Gori Fortress, Bronze Age Caucasus settlement Uplistsikhe Day 7 July 1 Friday Prometheus Caves with stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes and rivers, and intriguing limestone formations, gala dinner with traditional music and dance performance Day 8 July 2 Saturday Free morning to explore Kutaisi, transfer to airport for return flight to Rome
Reservation Trip costs €850 pp + flights (Price based on double occupancy. Private transportation and meals are included. Ask for discount price when you sign up for two people or more.) Payment Schedule Deposit €200 to reserve your trip, the rest is due June 5 Once you pay the deposit, you should book your flights. We will send you the flight details. Currently direct flights cost about €350 round trip from Rome.
