Dear Sir,
I would like to offer a day in Tagliacozzo. Tagliacozzo is little countryside, one hour driving or 1and a half hour by train from Rome(Termini or Tiburtina.. It is 750 meter on the sea level, very pleasant in summer. In Tagliacozzo there are interesting sights such as: The Ducal Palace (built by R. Orsini); the Convent of St. Francis with the attached Church housing the tomb of Tommaso da Celano (first biographer of St. Francis); the Obelisk square, with a fountain of the 13th century in the center; at 3 km. distance there is the Sanctuary of St. Mary with a very old painting. It classified as one of the beautiful little countries in Italy. It is pleasant to go in Spring I can arrange an aperitif, guided tour and lunch. I live in Rome and have a house in Tagliacozzo.
