Hello, my name's Valery, i've just checked out this beautiful site and i wanted to say hello and introduce myself because thanks to you i think i've found my way back home....i was born in Italy but on account of my father's job i've spent the past ten years travelling around the world, living in many countries but never settling down anywhere and always changing schools, friends and habits. Mostly I've lived in England and Germany where i worked as an interpreter and then as a language summer courses planner at Girton college Cambridge. Now I'm back in ROME and I've planned to spend some months here hoping to find an interesting job AND A GOOD REASON TO SETTLE DOWN forever, although i don't have the right connections; MY LIFESTYLE MAKES ME FEEL SOME KIND OF EXPAT each time i'm back -friends moved abroad or got married- but most of all i find it quite difficult to merge completely into the italian way of life and to find a valuable support for the fulfilment of my ideas -such as acting in english, song writing,interior design projects, translater job-
That's why I DO LIKE MEETING PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WHO CAN SHARE MY MOOD
i'm really looking forward to joining one of your events and to meeting interesting people who might help me find that network of support i'm looking for but mainly the warmth and friendship i need the most.
it will be great practicing italian, english or german while having some chats and in return i will be pleased to use my mixed background to help english or german expats to feel more at ease in my hometown
